As with the Windows versions of Outlook, if you select None for everything, your delegate will only be able to send out email messages on your behalf. When you select your delegate, you’ll see the permissions dialog box where you can set the access level. Use the + button to open a search pop-up where you can search your address book for your delegate. Hit the Advanced button and then select the Delegates tab. You’ll need to open Preferences and select Accounts.
If you’re using a Mac, there are a few more steps involved. Click on the plus (+)-button located in the left corner, and then click on E-mail. If you select None for everything, then the delegate will only be able to send out emails on your behalf.
After you’ve selected that person, you’ll need to determine the level of access you want to give them. Now click Add and search through your personal or company address book for your delegate’s email account. Next, select Account Settings, which should open a small drop-down menu. If you receive a Sign out of Office confirmation screen, at the bottom right of the confirmation screen, click Sign out. Finally, on the Outlook Account screen, beneath your name, click Sign out.
From the displayed options, click Office Account. While the process varies depending on which version of Outlook you are using, it is very easy to do and can be accomplished in less than 30 seconds.įirst, select the File tab on the top ribbon and go to Info. Turn on the toggle for ‘Automatic Replies On’. The dialog box for automatic replies will open. In the search text box, type ‘Out of office’ or ‘Automatic Replies’ and then click on the search result for Automatic Replies setting.
